Five Things To Do In Cohasset This Week 11.18.2018

This week brings us Thanksgiving and the somewhat official start of the holiday season.  Cohasset Village comes alive for the holidays with numerous events that are fun for people of all ages.   The trees in the village will be adorned with lights and most of the merchants will transform their shop into the holiday spirit.   It truly is a wonderful time of the year in the village.

So, without further ado, here are my five things to do in Cohasset this week.

  1. Be sure not to miss today’s matinee showing of “Little Shop of Horrors” put on by the Cohasset Dramatic Club.  Click Here for full details.
  2. The Thanks For Giving Annual Turkey Trot.  This is a fun morning event starting at 7:30 AM on The Cohasset Common.  While some will take the run real seriously, many will participate in what can be a very social event.  Click Here to register.
  3. Take in a mid-morning viewing of the Annual Cohasset vs. Hull Thanksgiving Football Game.  This decades-long tradition brings the town back together for a fun and rather spirited game.  The game is at 10 AM on Alumni Field at Cohasset High School.
  4. Put on your calendar the details for The Cohasset Village Fair. The Village Fair takes place on 12/1.  This is a fun morning event where churches and schools on the common open their doors and hawk their various holiday wears as you begin to prepare your home in holiday flair.  Be sure not to confuse this with the village holiday stroll on 12/8, more details to follow.
  5. And finally note for 12/2 is the Sunday Author Talks at The Paul Pratt Library.  The Paul Pratt Memorial Library welcomes author Steven Hatch on Sunday, December 2nd at 4:00 pm to talk about his book Inferno: A Doctor’s Ebola Story. A reception and book signing will follow the event. Free admission. Seating is limited.

So there you have it.  You have my five things to do in Cohasset this week. Get out and enjoy your community and be sure to support your local businesses.
